AS SICKBOY SEES IT
Southbound Sickboy …. Lazy Early Autumn Day at Tyniec Abbey / Day 19 + 20

Berlin/Tyenic 6. September 2017
I moved out of the city. Resting in the quietness of Tyniec Abbey for two or three days. Enjoying some private time with friends off duty, off Sickboy, and off blog.
We cycled up to Lanckrona. We measured and found it allmost right on Kopernicus‘ Meridian. Bought a birthday card. Enjoyed lovely town.
Weather changed dramatically. The heat was followed by thunderstorms and heavy rain. Felt like autumn arrived. I remember the fog over Wisla River. Foggy days were used to write and think and calculate.
On the map a trekking route is drawn right on Frombork Meridian. Called ‚Amber Route‘. Sounds like our baby has a name now. Cycling on Amber Route from Baltic Sea to the Adrian Sea… Wow!!
Sure enough Frombork Meridian was midage’s Autobahn for Amber and Silk trading. While the Rome Meridian more likely was used to transport pasta and icecream North.
The counterpart of Frombork on the Rome Meridian seems to be – according to my GPS – a tiny island called „Eichort‘. Haha… what a fitting name this Is!!
The equivalent of Kraków is not Schwarzenberg Castle. It lays further South than Karlsbad. There is a castle in the city of Plan right on Wawel Castle latitude. And may be the town called Bor could be considered as Lanckrona’s counterpart. The distance between the Meridians grows. Maybe the World is no chessboard.
That’s how three days were spent. Recover for the next chapter – cross the mountain of Slow. Rep. and down to Danube. Further to Budapest and through Hungarian’s new built Berlin Wall on to the Balkan Route.
Star Navigation being asked to deliver a suggestion for a detailed schedule within 5 days.
