Southbound Sickboy …. Uraniborg Star Observatory

Southbound Sickboy …. Uraniborg Star Observatory / Day 2
Deutscheleitkulturblog by Christian Raum
Berlin/Ven 21. August 2017

Tycho Brahe and his team of astronomer, mathematicans, bookmakers, alchemists, musicians worked on Ven island to measure the nightsky, calculate calender, map earth and universe and discuss the concept of time. The roots of how we see and understand the world were planted by them.

But Brahe’s most important scholar never visited the observatory nor the castle. This maybe the reason why  Johannes Kepler was obsessed by the island of Ven. He dreamed himself into Tycho Brahe’s Star Observatory. When Kepler wrote the first ever Sciencefiction novel he started on Ven island

Reason enough to chose Stjerneborg Observatory as starting point doing a travel along the roots of European culture. Lay my fingertips on. Feel the pulse.

Ich finde in meiner Mailbox eine Nachricht von Piet. Es sei dringend. Ich solle bitte anrufen. Ich erreiche ihn nicht. Naja. Vielleicht morgen.

THANKS to MISTER „Ninty miles an hour, girl, is the speed I drive“ SICKBOY!!!
